PURCHASE TERMS & CONDITIONS:

All orders and purchases made through this website are subject to the Terms and Conditions outlined below. These Terms and Conditions may change from time to time without prior notice, at our discretion.

This website is owned and operated by ALBA FINE JEWELLERY. All orders and purchases made through the facilities of this website shall be subject to the Terms and Conditions below.

ALBA FINE JEWELLERY reserves the right to correct errors and inaccuracies, or to change and update information on this website at our discretion. This extends to information regarding prices, lead times and availability of items.

OUR SERVICE STATEMENT:

  • ALBA is committed to providing highly crafted fine jewellery of premium quality. This commitment to excellence also extends to our custom & bespoke design services as well as our stone sourcing and client advisor service. Each ALBA piece is uniquely made to order locally in Melbourne, ensuring we give each piece the attention and care it deserves.

OUR PRODUCT:

  • ALBA fine Jewellery is entirely handmade and finished; and therefore there will always be some unique variations between pieces. This also extends to all natural gemstones used within ALBA Fine Jewellery.
  • Please note that ALBA source the highest quality diamonds and gemstones from both local and international gemstone specialists. As each stone is naturally occurring, unique inclusions and/or colour variations should be expected. 
  • To order a Custom Made or Bespoke ALBA piece, or to request special personalisation of a signature piece, please refer to our FAQ’s page for more information on how to place an order.
  • White Gold - ALBA Fine Jewellery does not rhodium plate White Gold. Instead we prefer the natural hue of White Gold, which unplated is a grey tone made warmer by a very soft yellow undertone. White gold that has been rhodium plated to give a ‘Platinum’ look will wear overtime, removing the plated surface and exposing the natural colour beneath. Plated white gold required replating over time.
  • Please note that colour may vary on different display devices. All product on ALBA website is represented as best as possible but we cannot be held responsible for wrong choices due to colour variation between screens.

OUR WARRANTY PROMISE:

  • All ALBA Jewellery products are covered by a voluntary manufactures warranty for 12 months from date of delivery. This guarantees against any manufacturers defect in material or workmanship. Please note that this does not cover neglect, abuse or normal wear or tear. Care must be taken to ensure your beautiful piece lasts the test of time.
  • If you believe your piece to be subject to a manufacturing fault please return to ALBA FINE JEWELLERY for assessment. Please see further details below in our Returns, Refunds & Exchanges section.
  • If a stone is lost due to damaged, broken or bent claws/settings, ALBA Fine Jewellery is not responsible for the replacement of the stone or the re-tipping of claws.
  • The loss, theft or damage of an item is not covered under warranty and should be covered under your Home Insurance Policy. Alternatively, we recommend Qreport who provides jewellery specific insurance policies.
  • The loss, theft or damage of a centre or statement stone, side stone or small stone is not covered under warranty and should be covered under your Home Insurance Policy

SOURCING & PRODUCTION LEADTIMES:

  • All ALBA Fine Jewellery pieces are handmade to order, so please allow up to 6 weeks for production. This excludes delivery time. In the case of bespoke or custom made pieces longer lead-times may be required and will be advised by ALBA based on the design requirements of each piece.
  • If you require a jewellery piece by a specific date or would like an item to be delivered sooner than our production time please get in touch as soon as possible. ALBA  strives to accommodate these requests as frequently as possible, however we cannot guarantee that all orders can be rushed.
  • Production Lead times noted on our website are subject to material availability. ALBA reserves the right to amend or change lead times at their discretion

EXCHANGE, RETURNS, REPAIRS & RESIZES POLICY:

RESIZES:

  • All ALBA ring purchases come with one complimentary ring resize within 3 months of your purchases delivery date.
  • We are happy to resize ALBA rings at cost if the complimentary offer has expired or previously been used. In these situations we will be happy to provide you with a quote for resize.
  • Please note all rings cannot be exchanged for another size
  • All shipping fees for resizes (both to and from ALBA) will covered by the customer. All returns for resize must be in their complete original packaging and be shipped prepaid and insured. We are not responsible for return items lost or damaged in transit.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES:

  • All our jewellery is entirely handmade. Pieces are delicate and should be worn and handled with care. Please see our CARE GUIDE found HERE for more information and always follow the unique care instructions provided for your piece.
  • All our designs are made to order please choose carefully. There are no refunds, returns or exchanges given for change of mind.
  • Custom designed, personalized, special order pieces, rush orders or items received as a gift are not eligible for exchange.
  • Pre-Order Items are not eligible for return, refund or exchange.
  • Refunds or an exchanges may at times be offered in the case of manufacturing faults. Please see details below.
  • If you wish to return an item due to a perceived fault or damage, please return the item to ALBA Fine Jewellery within 14 days of receipt so that we may assess the item. ALBA Fine Jewellery will assess the returned item to determine whether the fault or damage was caused by either MANUFACTURE, INTENTIONAL DAMAGE or MISTREATMENT. 
  • Please note, all shipping fees for return of items for assessment (both to and from ALBA) will covered by the customers. All returns must be in their complete original packaging and be shipped prepaid and insured. We are not responsible for return items lost or damaged in transit.
  • In the case of a MANUFACTURING FAULT, ALBA Jewellery will repair, replace, exchange or refund the item.
  • In the case of INTENTIONAL DAMAGE, no refund or exchange will be given. Customer may request ALBA to repair the item, all repair costs will be covered by the customer.
  • In the case of MISTREATMENT, no refund or exchange will be given. Customer may request ALBA to repair the item, all repair costs will be covered by the customer.
  • If you are entitled to a refund, this will be processed within 14 business days of ALBA Fine Jewellery receiving the returned item.
  • ALBA Fine Jewellery reserves the right to deny a return or exchange if it does not meet with our returns policy.
  • Please note in the interests of hygiene ALBA will not accept exchanges or offer refunds on stud-fitted earrings for pierced ears.

REPAIRS:

  • ALBA Fine Jewellery are happy to assist in repair of any design purchased through albafinejewellery.com.au Please note that repair fees will apply (unless assessed and approved for MANUFACTURING FAULT).
  • All shipping fees for repairs or assessment for repair (both to and from ALBA Fine Jewellery) will covered by the customer. All returns for repair must be in their complete original packaging and be shipped prepaid and insured. We are not responsible for items lost in transit.
  • If a stone is lost due to damaged, broken or bent claws/settings, ALBA Fine Jewellery is not responsible for the replacement of the stone or the re-tipping of claws. ALBA Fine Jewellery will happily source, repair and reset lost stones at the customer’s request. All costs involved will be covered by the customer.

PRICING & PAYMENTS:

  • All prices listed on ALBA website are in Australian Dollars and all transactions will be processed in AUD. Prices include GST. (GST will be removed for International orders)
  • All online orders must be paid with a credit card. Please note that your credit card will be charged at the time of checkout for all items in your shopping cart. All credit card transactions are confidential.
  • Please note for custom or bespoke orders. A 50% deposit is required at time or order. Production will not commence until this deposit has been received into the account nominated above.

The remaining balance will be invoiced upon completion of the piece (usually within the 4 - 6 week production time frame) and final payment is required within 7 days from the date of invoice. Orders will be shipped or can be collected upon receipt by us of the final balance. We do not ship or allow collection of jewellery until final payment has been received.

  • ALBA reserves the right to include additional "express service" fee in quotation for rush made-to-order jobs should the order require prioritization

SALES & DISCOUNTED ITEMS:

  • As ALBA Fine Jewellery is made to order, we do not offer sales or discounts on our items. Prices are calculated based on the labour, materials and time required to make each piece individually.

SHIPPING or COLLECTION:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING ALL SHIPPING (Australia & Worldwide):

  • Your piece is insured by us from dispatch up until it is delivered into your care and signed for by you.
  • ALBA only sends order(s) via trackable local post or registered courier providers. You will be notified by email of your items tracking details at time of dispatch.
  • Online orders cannot be shipped to PO Boxes
  • All items will be packaged in ALBA Fine Jewellery Packaging and shipped in either Box or Satchel by a registered mail provider or courier service.
  • All items require a signature upon receipt. Please have items shipped to a location at which you or an approved recipient will be present (i.e. residential or business) between 8am and 5pm.
  • ALBA Fine Jewellery takes no responsibility for incorrect shipping details entered by customer once order has dispatched. If incorrect details have been submitted please contact us immediately at info@albafinejewellery.com
  • Please note that the delivery address cannot be changed or cancelled once order(s) have been dispatched
  • Please note that we do not ship on weekends or on Victorian State and Australian National public holidays. Your goods will ship on the next available business day.

DOMESTIC SHIPPING :

    • Your piece is insured by us from dispatch up until it is delivered into your care and signed for by you.
    • All national orders are shipped complimentary via Australia Post Platinum Express service. Signature is required on delivery. The Australian Post network offers a next-day guarantee for this service – but please allow exceptions due delays that may be caused due to COVID.
    • You will be contacted with a tracking number for your parcel once your order has dispatched
    • Door-to-Door delivery by registered courier can be arranged by request. Please note an additional cost may be charged to customer for an order(s) dispatched via registered courier services. Please email us at info@albafinejewellery.com for a quote on door-to-door service.

INTERNATIONAL:

    • Your piece is insured by us from dispatch up until it is delivered into your care and signed for by you.
    • All International orders are shipped via FEDEX at a flat rate of $50.00 AUD (+gst). Delivery time will vary depending on the intended address. Please email us at info@albafinejewellery.com for an estimate delivery time on your order
    • Please note Australian GST of 10% will be removed from all International orders
    • Please note you may be required to pay additional duties or tax depending on country goods are being received into.
